115g (½ cup) - Green Gram (Mung Beans) whole and dry
¼ cup - Jaggery, granulated (un-refined brown sugar)
¼-⅓ cup Coconut, grated
¼ts Cardamom powder

Jaggery is an unrefined, non-centrifugal sugar that retains significant nutritional values. This shouldn't be substituted with traditional white sugar. Ideal substitutes include brown sugar or coconut sugar. Jaggery syrup can also be used if the liquid form is preferred. Adjust flavors to taste. This dish can be very sweet or fragrant as you adjust.
